Valeria Fedeli, Mattarella: ‘Attention to equality, civic passion and a high sense of institutions’

The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, expressed his condolences for the passing of Valeria Fedeli in a statement. ‘Her long commitment to trade unions and politics, with constant attention to the goals of equality between women and men,’ wrote Mattarella, ‘was always characterised by civic passion, a capacity for dialogue and a high sense of institutions, as also demonstrated by her roles as Minister of Education and Vice-President of the Senate.’
