Milan, June 7 (LaPresse) – Flavio Cobolli’s dream run at Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam tournament of the season, came to an end in the final. The Rome-born player, who will rise to world No. 10 on Monday, was defeated by Germany’s Alexander Zverev, currently No. 3 in the ATP rankings. Zverev won in five sets, 6-1, 4-6, 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-1, after 4 hours and 16 minutes of play, converting his second match point. For Zverev, it is the first Grand Slam title of his career, achieved in his fourth major final. For Cobolli, it was the first Grand Slam final of his career.
