Rome, 22 June (LaPresse) – Giovanni Malagò has been elected as the new president of the Italian Football Federation. The electoral assembly elected him with 68.58% of the votes (343,084) against the 29.17% (145,936) obtained by the other candidate, Giancarlo Abete. The former president of CONI and Milano Cortina is the new head of Italian football following the resignation of Gabriele Gravina, after the national team failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
