France: Macron reappoints Lecornu as Prime Minister

Rome, 11 October (LaPresse) – Sébastien Lecornu has been reappointed as French Prime Minister by the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron. The announcement was made by the Élysée Palace in a press release. “I accept – out of duty – the mission entrusted to me by the President of the Republic to do everything possible to ensure that France has a budget by the end of the year and to respond to the everyday problems of our compatriots,” wrote Sébastien Lecornu on X after being reappointed Prime Minister by French President Emmanuel Macron. ‘We must put an end to this political crisis, which is exasperating the French people, and to this instability, which is damaging to France’s image and interests,’ he added, specifying that the new government team ‘must embody renewal and diversity of skills.’ ‘I will do everything possible to successfully complete this mission,’ he concluded.
