Provo (Utah), Dec. 12 (LaPresse) – Tyler Robinson, the Utah man accused of murdering Charlie Kirk, made his first in-person court appearance on Thursday, while his attorneys requested further restrictions on media access during the trial. Prosecutors accuse Robinson of aggravated murder for the September 10 shooting of the conservative activist on the Utah Valley University campus in Orem and have stated that they intend to seek the death penalty. Robinson, 22, arrived under heavy security, handcuffed at the wrists and ankles, wearing a dress shirt, tie, and trousers. The young man smiled at family members seated in the front row of the courtroom. Robinson’s legal team and the Utah County sheriff asked District Court Judge Tony Graf to ban cameras in the courtroom. The judge has not yet decided. Previously, the defendant had appeared only via video or audio from prison.
