Frankfurt (Germany), 30 June (LaPresse) – The death toll from Monday evening’s attack in Munich is rising. According to reports in the French media and Ukrainian law enforcement sources cited by Ukrainska Pravda, the wife of businessman Vadom Ermolaev has lost both legs as a result of the extremely serious injuries she sustained in the explosion and remains in a critical condition. The woman is reported to have been rushed to a hospital in Nice, where doctors were forced to amputate her lower limbs. Ermolaev, who suffered burns and shrapnel wounds from the blast, is reportedly out of danger. The couple’s 13-year-old son is said to have sustained minor injuries. Another person was injured by the shockwave and a piece of metal shrapnel lodged in their leg, whilst two others were treated by paramedics for shock. According to the French newspaper *Nice-Matin*, the businessman was conscious when he was taken to hospital. Investigations are continuing jointly between the Monegasque and French authorities. Investigative sources cited by *Ukrainska Pravda* report that one of the theories being examined is the involvement of organised crime. After leaving a rucksack containing the explosive device outside the family’s home, the suspect is believed to have fled on foot towards neighbouring France. CCTV cameras captured him in Beausoleil, but investigators subsequently lost track of him there. The manhunt continued throughout the night, with the support of a French gendarmerie helicopter.
