Rome, 6 Oct. (LaPresse) – Pablo Llarena, a judge in the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court, today issued an order annulling, with immediate effect and until a new express judicial decision is made, the national warrants for the search, capture and arrest of the former President of the Catalan Generalitat, Carles Puigdemont, and former councillors Antoni Comin and Lluis Puig. This was announced by the Supreme Court. The decision was taken after the Constitutional Court announced that it had upheld the appeal lodged by the former Catalan councillor Dolors Bassa against the ruling that denied the application of amnesty to the offence of embezzlement for which she had been convicted.
