Football: average, 7 arrested for Nazi salutes before France-Croatia

Milan, 24 Mar. (LaPresse) – Seven Croatian fans have been arrested on charges of making Nazi salutes on their way to the Stade de France in Paris for the Nations League quarter-final match between France and their national team. This was reported by le Parisien, quoting a source close to the case, according to whom ‘300 Croatian fans at risk, escorted before the match, sang patriotic anthems, lit smoke bombs and gave Nazi salutes’. According to the same source, during the Croatian national anthem at the Stade de France, before the match against the Blues, about ten Croatian ultras once again gave the Nazi salute. Seven people ‘who committed these acts were arrested after the match’.
