Turin, 24 January (LaPresse) – ‘I still believe in social media, it’s democratic, if you have something to say, it gives you an audience.’ So said Chiara Ferragni in an interview with Milano Finanza after being acquitted of charges related to the Pandorogate trial. ‘How do I feel? Relieved. Let’s say that it has been a complex two years in many ways, and it’s nice to now feel that I no longer have the limitations, even in expressing myself, that I had during this time. That’s the best thing,’ she added. – On the positive side, I have learned to value myself more as a person, less as a public figure; on the negative side, of course, in times of need you realise, both good and bad at the same time, which people have been around you for convenience and which ones are truly there because they care about their relationship with you. I think these two years have made me grow as much as ten “normal” years, so I feel much more mature and perhaps even a little more disillusioned than in the past, in many ways.” Speaking of the world of social media, ‘the world of fashion has certainly changed, which is currently in a bit of a crisis in many ways, and consequently so has the world of fashion-related social media,’ she added. ‘Social media is very democratic, so if you have something interesting to say, you can find your community.’ In the future, Ferragni would repeat her experience on the board of directors of a company after joining Tod’s. ‘I learned a lot, it was an experience I would gladly repeat,’ she admitted.
