The fatal incident took place at a facility operated by Hanwha Aerospace in the city of Daejeon. According to the Yonhap news agency, the site is one of Hanwha Aerospace’s main facilities, where large-scale propellants and surface-to-surface missile systems are developed. Emergency services official Yoon Seong-su stated that the area is a government-designated security facility. One of the injured is reportedly in a critical condition.
