Tel Aviv (Israel), June 3 (LaPresse) – Israeli arms exports reached a record level of over 19 billion dollars last year, marking a 30% increase compared to 2024. More than half of 2025 sales consisted of “mega-deals” worth 100 million dollars or more. This was reported by the Israeli Ministry of Defense, which also added that sales have more than doubled over the past five years. This year’s edition of the Defense Tech Expo in Tel Aviv reflected the growing international interest in Israeli weapons, with manufacturers promoting arms and other equipment shaped by the country’s recent conflicts. The Israeli Ministry of Defense states that it uses its own equipment to defend the country and its population and denies using ongoing conflicts as testing grounds. More than a quarter of last year’s sales involved missiles, rockets, and air defense systems, as in the previous year. There was also an increase in surveillance and optronic systems. Optronics is a branch of electronics dealing with optical, infrared, or ultraviolet radiation and is used in applications such as rifle scopes.
