China: sanctions imposed on 10 US defence firms, added to the export control list

Beijing (China), 22 June (LaPresse) – China has announced sanctions against ten US companies linked to the defence sector, in response to the United States’ recent decision to prevent certain Chinese technology firms from securing defence contracts. The Ministry of Commerce stated in a press release that the sale of ‘dual-use’ products to the sanctioned companies will be prohibited; these include both manufacturers of military drones and companies involved in the extraction of rare earths. ‘Dual-use’ refers to goods that can have both military and non-military applications. The ten companies sanctioned are Aveox, Red Cat Holdings, Teal Drones, Imsar, Jaia Robotics, Ball Aerospace & Technologies, Oshkosh Defense, L3Harris Maritime Services, MP Materials and Usa Rare Earth.
