Madrid (Spain), 25 June (LaPresse) – The Spanish Congress of Deputies has approved, by a majority, a motion tabled by the People’s Party calling for the resignation of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez over the corruption scandals that have engulfed members of his party, the PSOE, and, should he refuse to call a snap election, urging him to face a vote of confidence. The motion, which is not binding on the Spanish leader, was approved with votes in favour not only from the PP and Vox but also from the Catalan pro-independence party Junts, which in 2023 voted in favour of Sanchez’s investiture.
