Frankfurt (Germany), 30 June (LaPresse) – “The Iranians did not merely oppose two evil regimes; every day, new dimensions of military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime come to light, demonstrating that other countries were involved in this crime. This is an attempt by some European countries to justify and, in a sense, exonerate themselves from their participation in these crimes, by claiming that their support or involvement was limited exclusively to logistical and technical assistance. This in no way diminishes the gravity of the crime they have committed.” This was stated by the spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmaeil Baghaei, commenting on recent statements by the Secretary-General of NATO, Mark Rutte, regarding US flights departing from bases in various countries, including Italy, as reported by the Iranian news agency IRNA. “Under international law, any participation in the commission of the crime of aggression against other countries is prohibited and condemned. It is therefore entirely natural that the Islamic Republic of Iran should continue to formally and forcefully assert its claims against all parties, whether directly or indirectly involved in the aggressive operations of the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran.”
