Rome, 1 July (LaPresse) – The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament and chief negotiator, Mohammad Ghalibaf, has stated that Iran’s enrichment of uranium for civilian purposes is “our legitimate and inalienable right”. Speaking on Iranian television, Ghalibaf also added that Tehran had exported “40 million barrels of oil in less than two weeks”. As for the talks following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, he stated that the 60-day period to reach a final agreement “may be extended”. He then reiterated that the Strait of Hormuz “is our greatest instrument of power”.
