Washington (USA), 7 July (LaPresse) – The United States has revoked the general licence authorising the sale of Iranian oil, following attacks carried out by Tehran in the Strait of Hormuz. A US administration official told Axios: “As President Trump and the administration have repeatedly stated, the memorandum of understanding in force with Iran is entirely results-based. Iran will only receive benefits if it demonstrates good behaviour,” the official said. “Iran’s actions in the Strait have been completely unacceptable to the United States and will have consequences. Our negotiators continue to work in good faith to reach a final agreement,” he added.
