Budget, Giorgetti: “Great expectations every year, but it doesn’t solve everything.”

Rome, 22 Oct. (LaPresse) – “These are days of intense work on the budget law. Every year at this stage, a sort of widespread expectation spreads, as if the state budget can address, if not resolve, all the issues facing the country at once.” Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti said this in a video message sent to the CEO Meeting in Elis. “We know that this is not the case, not only because of budgetary constraints,” he added, “but because of the costation that phenomena such as the demographic transformation of production processes or the impact of technology on an average older workforce cannot be addressed by the state alone, but require a joint effort by institutions, businesses, and the social partners.”
