Milan, 25 Oct. (LaPresse) – A burglary has taken place at the home of Alisson Santos, a Napoli footballer, in Giugliano. In the early hours of the morning, a watch and a piece of jewellery were reportedly stolen and taken away in the victim’s car. The footballer reported the incident, telling the police that he had realised the thieves were in his home when he woke up. The vehicle was subsequently intercepted and recovered by the Carabinieri in the neighbouring municipality of Villaricca. The Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, has ordered an immediate and extraordinary step-up of surveillance and patrols across the entire affected area. Following the incident, the Prefect has ordered a significant intensification of surveillance activities, with particular attention to residential areas and the main roads connecting the northern part of the metropolitan city, in order to prevent predatory crimes and enhance citizens’ sense of security. The Prefecture has stated that these events will be the focus of the next meeting of the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety, to which the mayors of the affected municipalities will also be invited to participate, with a view to defining further strategies to combat widespread crime.
