Milan, 26 Oct. (LaPresse) – Another change of plans for Jannik Sinner, who has announced his return to the court at the Six Kings Slam. In an Instagram story, the Italian confirmed he will be taking part in the exhibition tournament to be held in Riyadh. Originally scheduled for October, the event will now take place between 27 and 30 December, and Sinner – winner of the first two editions – will attempt to defend his title once again. Sinner has not played a match since his Wimbledon final victory over Alexander Zverev last July; due to a knee injury, he subsequently missed the American summer tournaments, including the US Open, followed by the tournaments in Asia and, finally, the indoor season, including the ATP Finals in Turin scheduled for November. Sinner’s return to competitive action will take place in January, starting in Australia; the Italian is expected to play a warm-up tournament ahead of the Australian Open, the season’s first Grand Slam event.
