Genoa, May 27 (LaPresse) – With 124,720 votes, equal to 51.48% of the total, centre-left and Five Star Movement candidate Silvia Salis has been elected the new mayor of Genoa. The confirmation comes at the end of the count in all 653 polling stations. According to the final data from the Interior Ministry's Eligendo portal, the centre-right challenger Pietro Piciocchi stopped at 44.20% with 107,091 votes.
