Melbourne, (Australia) 20 Jan. (LaPresse) – Three Italian tennis players took to the court last night, competing in the singles tournament in Melbourne. Lorenzo Musetti advanced to the second round of the Australian Open after his opponent Raphael Collignon withdrew due to physical problems. Musetti won two sets – the second and third (7-6, 7-5) – after losing the first set (4-6). During the fourth set, when the Italian tennis player was leading (3-2), the Belgian withdrew due to physical problems. Lorenzo Sonego defeated Spain’s Carlos Taberner. The Italian tennis player defeated the Spaniard in three sets (6-4, 6-0, 6-3). Luciano Darderi defeated Chilean Cristian Garin. The Italian tennis player defeated Garin in three sets (7-6, 7-5, 7-6).
