Turin, 23 June (LaPresse) – Due to the scorching heatwave currently affecting France, the Eiffel Tower will close early, according to French media reports. The monument will close to the public at 4 pm instead of 12.45 am. The Louvre Museum has also announced that “exceptionally, it will close earlier, at 4 pm instead of 6 pm, from Wednesday 24 June to Saturday 27 June 2026”. “In recent days, the Louvre has had to cope with particularly intense heat and sunshine. Its historic building, whilst naturally resilient in certain architectural aspects, remains fragile and is not sufficiently adapted to climate change,” the museum explained in a statement, adding that “it is at the end of the day that heat build-up becomes most severe, exacerbated by the density of visitors”.
