Milan, Nov. 1 (LaPresse) – An industrial facility was damaged during a drone attack in the Kstovo district, in the Nizhny Novgorod region, Governor Gleb Nikitin said, according to Ria Novosti. “A massive UAV attack took place overnight and this morning: more than one hundred drones were destroyed. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties,” Nikitin wrote on his Telegram channel. The Kyiv Independent reports that, according to Ukrainian monitoring channels, the target was a major Russian oil refinery. Telegram channels Exilenova+ and Supernova+ published reports and footage of the alleged attack on the NORSI refinery, also known as the Lukoil-Nizhegorodorgsintez refinery. NORSI is Russia’s fourth-largest oil refinery and the country’s second-largest gasoline producer, with an annual crude oil processing capacity of approximately 15-17 million metric tonnes. It also produces bitumen, diesel and aviation fuel used to support Russian forces. The refinery is located approximately 800 kilometres from the Ukrainian border.
