Rome, 21 June (LaPresse) – Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have carried out 846 air raids on 50 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine, killing five people and injuring a further 13. Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform. Russian troops launched 34 air raids against the city of Zaporizhzhia and several communities in the region. The attacks also involved 568 drones of various types, mainly FPV (First Person View) drones, targeting over 30 settlements, including frontline communities and residential areas. In addition, Russian forces carried out four multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) strikes and 240 artillery attacks against towns and villages across the region, Fedorov said. The deadliest attacks struck Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding district, where five people were killed and a further 13 injured. Regional authorities received 113 reports of damage to residential buildings, vehicles and critical infrastructure.
